Disclaimer

I’m really nobody special.  I’m a mom, wife, partner, friend, cousin, maimeó, sister, aunt and niece.  I love music, movies, and books (in no particular order) and have rather eclectic tastes.  I’m not afraid to speak my mind and I have extremely strong opinions on religion and politics but will only debate if the opposition proves extremely interesting.  Also, I have grown weary of stupidity and cowardice.

This blog is a reflection of my life and opinions.  I will always try to inject at least some humor in my posts, but there will be times when that won’t be an option.  Life seems to enjoy randomly throwing serious curveballs at the worst possible times and I seem to be the favorite target.

I include my children in my posts from time to time.  I feel parenthood isn’t for the weak; if you can’t handle dealing with accidents involving various bodily fluids and/or functions, then you should either never have sex and chance becoming a parent or run straight to a doctor willing to fix you permanently.  Seriously, folks, kids are beyond the standard definition of messy.

I write about love.  It may be love from the past, love that was meant for the future, or even love for the things I enjoy in life.  I still believe that love conquers all if given time: you could say I’m a hopeful romantic at heart.

Feel free to leave comments or full-blown criticisms; I’m a big girl and can handle it, but make sure you can handle my rebuttal and honesty in return.  Ya know … tit for tat?  I give as good as I get.
